Da Nang speeds up development of industrial zones and clusters in southern part

In recent years, the southern part of Da Nang has emerged as a bright spot in industrial growth, with a series of industrial zones and clusters being developed synchronously, creating a driving force to promote local economic growth. The locality is now home to 1,090 industrial production and business establishments, providing jobs for thousands of workers. In addition, the Nam Chu Lai 1 and Trang Ton industrial clusters in the commune have come into operation. Covering an area of 73.9 hectares, the Nam Chu Lai 2 Industrial Cluster has received investment approval from the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The Nam Chu Lai 1 and Trang Ton industrial clusters have had 16 projects in operation with a total investment of VND 281.83 billion, creating jobs for 1,315 workers. In 2024, the commune’s industrial and construction production value reached VND 65.8 trillion, an increase of more than VND 7.2 trillion compared to 2020. In Tam Anh Commune, nine large projects, worth nearly VND 5 trillion in total, have been developed. Notable projects include the Thaco Chu Lai Agro-Forestry Industrial Park, the Tam Anh – An An Hoa Industrial Park, the Tam Anh 1 Industrial Park, and the Vina Korea Industrial Park. To further promote the development of local industrial parks and clusters, Nui Thanh and Tam Anh communes have proposed many specific solutions in site clearance and investment promotion, creating favorable conditions for businesses to operate. In the coming period, Nui Thanh Commune aims to achieve an occupancy rate of over 90% in industrial clusters by 2030, whilst prioritizing investment attraction in building materials, agricultural product processing and preservation, mechanical engineering, electronics, warehousing, and logistics.
