The 2025 Eastern-Western Economic Corridor (EWEC) International Trade, Tourism, and Investment Fair – Da Nang 2025 is taking place in the central coastal city.

The six-day fair, which opened on October 1 evening, features more than 220 booths from over 150 domestic and international units, including 10 industrial promotion, and trade, investment, and tourism promotion centres from various provinces and cities across the country; as well as 10 international organisations and businesses from such countries as Russia, China, Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar.

They showcase local specialties like key and typical products, OCOP (one commune one product) products; electronic products and technology; food and agricultural products; household goods; and various other services.

Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, this year’s fair holds special significance as it is the first international-scale trade promotion event to be held since the official merger of Da Nang city and Quang Nam province. It marks the beginning of a new phase of development for the city, contributing to the promotion of friendly cooperation, mutual understanding, and trust with countries along the EWEC and nations in the region.

The event also creates opportunities for trade promotion, partner search, investment attraction, and expanded cooperation across various sectors. It not only helps promote key products, OCOP items, and regional specialties to consumers, but also drives the formation of supply chains from production to consumption, stimulates domestic demand, and expands the domestic market toward exports.

At the same time, it contributes to enhancing competitiveness and developing product value chains for localities in the central region, as well as across the country.

A key highlight of the fair is a trade promotion and export connectivity conference, which focuses on export strategies for the 2025–2030 period, explores opportunities in major markets such as the US, China and Indonesia, and discusses solutions for developing logistics linked to the Da Nang Free Trade Zone – a new driving force for the central region’s export growth./.
