Da Nang to hold 12 investment promotion webinars to attract foreign investors

Da Nang is scheduled to organise 12 investment promotion webinars targeting such its foreign partners as the U.S., Europe, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan (China) in the rest of this year, according to their actual needs and recommendations, as prescribed in the municipal government’s adopted plans. Picture taken at the ‘Invest in Da Nang’ webninar targeting South Korean investors on 3 December, 2020 Under the city’s investment promotion plans, Da Nang Department of Information and Communications will partner with the Vietnam Software & IT services (VINASA) and the Da Nang Investment Promotion Agency (IPA Da Nang) to organise the Japan ICT Day 2021 on 25 and 26 August, and the South Korea ICT Day 2021 on 26 and 27 August, in a bid to promote bilateral  IT cooperation with these developed Asian countries. The municipal Department of Foreign Affairs will closely work with relevant local agencies to boost bilateral cooperation and investment linkages with The Netherlands in the first quarter of 2021 in such aspects as marine economy, the principal port model, and enhance bilateral ties with Pittsburgh in the U.S. in investment promotion and innovations. A seminar on trade connection between Da Nang and Japanese businesses will take place in an active response to the Prime Minister-approved plans on calling for the involvement of overseas Vietnamese in introducing and developing distribution channels abroad for Made-in-Viet Nam goods in the 2020-2024 period. This event will be jointly held by the Da Nang departments of Industry and Trade and Foreign Affairs, along with the Business Association of Overseas Vietnamese (BAOVV). A seminar will take shape in HCM City to attract domestic and foreign investment into the Da Nang Hi-tech Park in April. IPA Da Nang will join forces with relevant local agencies to organise investment promotion webinars to attract more investment inflows from the U.S., Europe, Japan and South Korea in IT, high technology, and high-quality services. The total cost for the above-mentioned webinars will come from the city budget and fundings from private businesses and sponsors.
