Three central localities jointly develop green tourism

Three central coastal localities of Da Nang, Thua Thien Hue, and Quang Nam pledged to make joint efforts to promote the development of green tourism in the near future. The workshop in progress The information was announced at the Tuesday workshop co-organised in Quang Nam Province by the Quang Nam Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Da Nang Department of Tourism, and the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Department of Tourism. The event aimed to promote linkages and cooperation in developing green tourism product chains between Quang Nam, Da Nang and Thua Thien Hue; promote the strengths and potential of the localities; and diversify new tourism products in the direction of green and sustainable to create attractiveness of destinations. Also, it strengthened linkages and cooperation between tourism firms in the three localities in building tours associated with green tourist attractions to lure more domestic and international visitors, thereby contributing to promoting and introducing the image of tourism in the three localities with the message “Green tourism – Connection and Development”. At the workshop, representatives of the tourism industries of the three central localities presented cooperation contents to promote connection and build green tourism products. The focus will be on boosting cooperation in State management of tourism; supporting the development of green tourism products; consulting and sharing techniques and experience in building models of green and sustainable tourism products and services; and guiding farmers in skills to participate in community and ecological tourism activities in the localities. Heed will be on exchanging experience in environmental protection tourism; as well as raising awareness of the residential community in preserving the natural environment and tourism environment in tourism business activities.
