‘Highly qualified tour guides in Da Nang’ contest to be launched

‘Highly qualified tour guides in Da Nang’ contest will be open to all registered tour guides who are in charge of guiding groups of domestic and foreign tourists arriving in the city, the municipal Department of Tourism said. The eligible participants are those who now work as full-time or part-time employees at travel service businesses and students from intermediated schools, junior colleges and universities across the city. Applications for the upcoming contest must be submitted from July 10 to August 15. The preliminary round is expected to take place on August 26. The final round is slated to be held on September 27. Candidates who are tour guides can register for the contest through the Da Nang Tourist Guides’ Association, their travel businesses or via email: hoithihuongdanviendn2021@gmail.com. Meanwhile, those who are students can make registrations right at their training establishments and tertiary institutions or via the aforementioned email address. The contest aims to help existing and potential tour guides enhance their knowledge and professional qualifications, and at the same time, to make preparations for welcoming tourists back once COVID-19 is put under control.
