University of Da Nang secures top 6 position in Viet Nam in Webometrics Ranking of World Universities

The University of Da Nang (UDN) has maintained its position in the top six Vietnamese higher education providers in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities. The latest league table, released in late January, cites UDN ‘s position as being “among the leading Vietnamese universities” for student satisfaction, synchronous connections with its school members, and their domestic and foreign educational partners, large numbers of scientific research articles published in international prestigious journals, digital media publications, and the quality of education and international accreditation as reasons behind UDN being a fixture in the top six in Viet Nam. The Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, also known as Ranking Web of Universities, is a ranking system for universities worldwide based on a composite indicator that takes into account both the volume of the Web contents (number of web pages and files), and the visibility and impact of these web publications according to the number of external links (site citations) they received. It is an initiative of the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group belonging to the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), the largest public research body in Spain.
