Lien Chieu District key projects kicked to higher gear for on-schedule progress

Photo: HOANG HIEP / DNO Till date, the construction of waste disposal site No. 6 based at the Khanh Son landfill has been basically completed, whilst the second stage of the landfill-located leachate treatment station has also been put into trial operation following its recent inauguration. In a similar progressive move, the site clearance and construction of Axis No.1-Northwest route stretching from Ho Tung Mau to Nguyen Luong Bang streets is being kept on right track for the time being. Inspecting the construction of waste disposal site No. 6 and the second stage of a leachate treatment station under the large-scale Khanh Son landfill upgrade and expansion, Secretary Quang praised these projects’ management boards and contractors for ensuring their basic completion as recorded presently. He, in particular, underlined a must-do to inaugurate the second stage of the Khanh Son leachate treatment station on June 5, 2021 to mark the World Environment Day. Photo: HOANG HIEP / DNO During his inspection visit to the construction site of Axis No. 1-Northwest route stretching from Ho Tung Mau to Nguyen Luong Bang streets, the municipal Party chief demanded that competent agencies speed up site clearance and compensation. In particular, heed shall be paid to supporting the displaced families in terms of accommodation after handover of the cleared land for this project construction. In addition, contractors were urged to speed up the construction progress. The city’s top leader also agreed on the extension of Nguyen Sinh Sac Street to connect itself with Hoang Van Thai Street and western ring road No. 2. The building of the extended Nguyen Sinh Sac Street is in line with the national government-approved adjustments to the Da Nang Master Plan to 2030, with a vision toward 2045 for the sake of the local socio-economic development.
