The Da Nang government on October 10 announced compulsory measures, including testing and quarantine requirements, for air passenger arrivals and departures in the Da Nang Airport in a bid to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in the new normal amid COVID-19.

Airlines must ask their passengers to commit to provide their accurate and true health information at their departing and arriving destinations or face criminal prosecution for giving false or misleading health information.
The Central Region Airports Authority and the Da Nang International Airport are asked to keep domestic airlines informed on the Ministry of Transport’s Decision No. 1776 dated October 8,2021 providing the guidance for air passengers to ensure safety, flexibility and effective control of the COVID-19 pandemic, Da Nang’s quarantine rules for people coming from COVID-19 affected localities. In addition, domestic airlines are required to not sell tickets for those who do not meet the requirements stipulated in the Ministry of Transport’s regulations.
COVID-19 testing is compulsory for arriving and departing air passengers who do not have proof of a negative test result within 72 hours of their departure/arrival in Da Nang in line with the Ministry of Transport’s regulations, and they must pay for COVID-19 testing. In addition, travellers from other parts of the country will be required to have their body temperature checked and fill in a COVD-19 declaration form at the Da Nang Airport.
Passengers arriving at the Da Nang Airport from other Vietnamese localities will be segregated for COVID-19 quarantine. Quarantine restrictions will vary based on destination where passengers fly from, and vaccination status.
Competent agencies are tasked to keep a close watch on arriving air passengers in Da Nang, and take action against those who break the city’s COVID-19 guidelines.
