GRDP ranked 9th out of 34 localities nationwide
In 2025, the city recorded a GRDP growth rate of 9.18%, the highest in the 2021 – 2025 period, ranking 9th nationwide and 2nd among centrally governed municipalities.
At current prices, GRDP was estimated at VND 316.1 trillion, up VND 35.5 trillion from 2024, accounting for about 2.5% of national GDP.
Investment as a key growth driver
Social investment remained a key driver of economic growth and structural transformation in 2025. Total investment capital implemented in Da Nang was estimated at VND 85.8 trillion, up 16.7% year-on-year and equivalent to 27.2% of GRDP.
Non-state investment led growth, accounting for 64.6% and rising 28.4%, while state investment made up 25.8%, up 3.8%.
Investment attraction continued to strengthen, with domestic investment capital reaching VND 215.2 trillion as of December 20, 2025, 2.7 times higher than a year earlier.
More than USD 520 million in FDI attracted
In 2025, Da Nang prioritised attracting multinational corporations in semiconductors, electronics, information technology, data centres, and R&D, strengthening its integration into global value chains.
As of December 20, the city had attracted more than USD 520 million in FDI, including 124 newly licensed projects worth USD 286.9 million and 41 projects with additional capital of USD 142.7 million, up 86.3% year-on-year.
Capital contributions and share purchases in 47 enterprises totalled USD 95.5 million, further expanding FDI participation in the local economy.
Ten key solution groups for 2026
Da Nang will focus on ten key solution groups in 2026 to drive rapid and sustainable development. Tourism will remain a spearhead sector, with the city developing an integrated regional tourism chain linking coastal, heritage, and eco-mountain destinations.
Priorities also include strengthening regional linkages, expanding commerce and logistics, investing in transport infrastructure, promoting high-tech and green industries, improving the investment environment, advancing digital government and smart cities, and ensuring social welfare, environmental protection, and public security.
