5 parking locations not added to list of PPP projects

Following a recent instruction from the Da Nang People’s Committee, 5 parking areas will not be added to the list of the city’s investment projects under the public-private partnership (PPP) format. In detail, 3 of the 5 parking locations have belonged to the detailed planning of construction works. They are the HC10 lot belonging to a complex for a shopping center, a duty-free shopping service, and a facility for storing temporarily imported goods for re-export, all serving the city’s airport; the TK7 parking lot belonging to a 9-storey apartment project on Nguyen Cao Street; and an area designated for both car parking and cargo space purposes inside a residential project along the Tho Quang-Bien Dong drainage system. The remaining properties are planned to be auctioned are the A9 and A12 land areas on Vo Van Kiet Street. The city is appealing for investment for 14 other parking areas in line with the priority order, namely a parking site at 166 Hai Phong; the A2 land lot on Nguyen Van Linh; parking facilities in the inner-city areas, car parks in Son Tra district; ones in Ngu Hanh Son District, and the 2nd stage of a 6-storey parking garage construction at 255 Phan Chau Trinh in Hai Chau District.
