As per request of the Da Nang administration, a total of 8 designated livestock and poultry slaughterhouses based in the city have till date suspended their operations following their recent daily capacity increased by 2-3 times as compared to before in order to serve the food needs of local residents for 7 days of the stay-at-home-at-all-times order.
Amongst the 8 already-halted slaughterhouses are Da Nang Food Processing Company Limited-operated Da Son, the largest of its kind in Da Nang, and another one owned by Mrs. Ha Thi Thanh Hoa in Hoa Khanh Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District.
From dawn on August 13 to early morning on August 16, the above-mentioned 8 slaughterhouses supplied 195 cows, 5,948 pigs, a combined sum of 16,274 chickens and ducks to the local market.
