Da Nang fosters cooperation with Mixel Vietnam in semiconductors industry

Photo: MAI QUE During the working session, Mr. Andrew Wright, Senior Vice President of Silvaco Group – the parent company of Mixel, the USA, informed that Mixel Vietnam is among the new enterprises in the semiconductors industry, established in Da Nang in 2024. The company operates in such fields as artificial intelligence and machine learning, mobile devices, cameras, display technologies, virtual reality, and smart vehicles. After one year of operation, Mixel Vietnam has grown rapidly in terms of the number of employees, in which Vietnamese engineers play an important role in the company’s major projects. In addition to production and business activities, the company concentrates on cooperating with universities to train high-quality human resources for the semiconductor industry. Mr. Andrew Wright took the opportunity to thank Da Nang’s departments and agencies for their active support throughout the establishment and operation of the company, especially in implementing preferential policies and support mechanisms. He revealed that Mixel Vietnam planned to expand its headquarters and scale of operations based on a workforce of skilled engineers in Vietnam in general and Da Nang in particular. Congratulating Mixel Vietnam on its initial achievements after one year of operation, Vice Chairman Ho Quang Buu emphasized that the company’s operations aligned with one of Da Nang’s three key economic pillars in the new period, with focus on developing high-tech and information technology industries and building creative and start-up urban areas.
