Da Nang gears up for Asia’s largest Pickleball tournament

Currently, Da Nang and its coordinating units have completed preparations for high-energy matches of Asia’s biggest Pickleball tournament. Top pickleball players from around the world will gather in Da Nang for the PPA Tour Asia – MB Vietnam Cup 2025. According to the organizers, nearly 600 professional and amateur players from Vietnam and around the world will compete in singles and doubles events at the Tien Son Sports Arena and the Tuyen Son Sports Village. Notably, the tournament will see the appearance of “G.O.A.T.” Ben Johns, a legendary Pickleball player with more than 150 PPA Tour titles in the United States. In addition, other star athletes will include Tyson McGuffin, Zoey Chang, Zane Navratil, Kaitlyn Christian, Phuc Huynh, Trinh Linh Giang, Ly Hoang Nam, Alix Truong, Sophia Phuong Anh, Truong Vinh Hien, Yufei Long and Jonathan Truong. The tournament will not only help develop sports tourism for Da Nang and Vietnam as a whole, but also be expected to further promote the development of the Pickleball movement in the city. Also, it will offer a valuable opportunity for local amateur players to practice with some of the world’s top professional athletes. At the same time, the tournament will foster cultural connections and strengthen cooperation in sports, tourism, and trade between Vietnamese and international partners. The competition courts at the Tien Son Sports Arena have been equipped to international standards, ensuring the best conditions for both athletes and spectators.
