Attending the event were 14 businesses from Japan’s Gunma Prefecture operating in such fields as manufacturing, automotive parts production, medical equipment, food processing and interior design, along with more than 20 companies from Da Nang.

The seminar featured two sessions: the introduction of Da Nang’s investment environment, and a business networking and partnership exchange between Da Nang and Gunma enterprises.

Speaking at the event, Director of the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Xuan Binh emphasized that Gunma was one of Japan’s leading industrial development hubs and shared many similarities with Da Nang in terms of potential, strengths, and development orientation.

He noted that this was the second time the “Meet Gunma Enterprises” had been held in Da Nang, reflecting the growing and deepening cooperation between the two localities.

According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Binh, the seminar provided an opportunity for the city to introduce to Japanese enterprises its open investment environment, and its preferential policies in the Free Trade Zone, High-Tech Park and industrial zones.

At the same time, it served as a platform for Da Nang and Gunma businesses to directly meet, share information, and explore partnership opportunities. The purpose was to expand import-export markets and strengthen the friendship between Da Nang and Gunma in particular, and Vietnam and Japan in general.

According to Mr. Akihiko Fukai, Chief Representative of Gunma Bank, Da Nang is emerging as a potential investment destination, attracting great attention from Gunma-based enterprises thanks to its impressive economic growth rate, modern industrial infrastructure and favorable geographical location.

He noted that about 60 Gunma enterprises are investing in Vietnam, many of which are exploring opportunities to expand into the Central region, especially Da Nang.

“With the mission to connect human strength to create a future for the community, we look forward to accompanying Da Nang in promoting bilateral cooperation, thereby contributing to the increasingly substantial and effective development of economic relations between Vietnam and Japan,” Mr. Fukai Akihiko emphasized.
