Da Nang reinforces cooperation with Ukrainian localities

When receiving Ambassador of Ukraine to Vietnam Oleksandr Gaman on Monday, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi highly lauded his first visit to the city and briefed him on the city’s potential, favorable position, and remarkable socio-economic achievements in recent times. Photo: NGOC HA She also informed that Da Nang has been focusing on building and developing a number of key economic sectors such as: tourism and high-quality services associated with resort real estate; seaports, aviation associated with logistics services; high-tech industry associated with building creative urban areas and startups; information technology, electronics, and telecommunications industries associated with the digital economy; and high-tech agricultural products and fisheries. In addition, Da Nang boasted world cultural heritages such as Hoi An Ancient Town, the My Son Sanctuary and ‘ma nhai’ at the Marble Mountains. Based on the similarities in the orientation of preserving world cultural heritage, Vice Chairwoman Thi voiced her hope that Da Nang will have the opportunity to exchange experiences in preserving, restoring and promoting the value of cultural heritage with suitable Ukrainian partners. In reply, Ambassador Oleksandr Gaman highly appreciated Da Nang’s dynamic development environment, saying that he was willing to act as a bridge to promote cooperation between Da Nang and localities of Ukraine.
