Tiếng ViệtDuring their recent working trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), a delegation of Da Nang’s officials, led by Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Ngo Xuan Thang, met with senior leaders of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.

At the meeting, the city leaders urged the UAE to encourage large corporations and investment funds to learn about and invest in the Free Trade Zone and International Financial Center in Da Nang.
Da Nang also wished to promote cooperation in logistics and international transportation, as well as learn from the model of seaports, and goods distribution centers of the UAE – an important trade hub of the MENA region.
The city also asked for support from the UAE in constructing technology parks and innovation centers, boosting the cooperation in AI, semiconductors, IoT and big data, and organizing activities to promote the city’s investment, business and tourism environment in the UAE.

In reply, senior leaders of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce pledged to support and create all favorable conditions to strengthen cooperation with Da Nang in the coming time, especially appealing for more corporations, businesses and banks to operate in the soon-to-be-developed International Financial Center in Da Nang.
Also, the city delegation worked with Apex Group and connected with many businesses belonging to the UAE Investors Group.
Representatives of Apex Group provided an overview of the scale, capacity and core strengths of the group in the field of fund management and international financial services.
The Apex Group currently maintains two representative offices in leading financial centers in the Middle East, including the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).
Apex is also the first independent fund management unit licensed to operate in DIFC nearly two decades ago, marking the group’s pioneering position in the Dubai market.

Speaking at the meeting, the leaders of Da Nang thanked Apex Group for its thoughtful reception and facilitating them to connect with international partners.
The city highly appreciated Apex’s desire to become a member of the International Financial Center in Da Nang. The signing of the cooperation agreement between the city and Apex is considered an important basis for expanding cooperation activities, while creating a new milestone in forming an international financial ecosystem in Da Nang.
The city hoped that Apex Group will share its experiences in implementing the International Financial Center, especially in building a legal framework, mobilizing capital sources, attracting the participation of large corporations and enterprises, and training and developing human resources.
On the occasion, the city delegation had a working session with the Bybit Company to discuss the operation situation, cooperation initiatives and development orientation in the coming time.

A Bybit representative briefed Da Nang visitors on its global scale, outstanding achievements as well as its presence in the Vietnamese market.
Bybit also informed about its recent activities in Vietnam, including the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Da Nang, a plan to organize a VIP Gala, and its cooperation activities with Verichains in the field of blockchain security and Web3-related education and training programs.
Bybit proposed to support the implementation of a sandbox model for a global centralized exchange within the framework of the International Financial Center in Da Nang.
For their part, Da Nang leaders welcomed the proposals made by Bybit and pledged to connect high-quality human resources and coordinate with the company for the implementation of internship programs and training initiatives.
Leaders of Da Nang and Bybit Company highly agreed to organize in-person and online meetings to maintain the activities of their joint working groups, as well as promptly remove obstacles and effectively implement the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation.
