Achieving targets set for 2025
According to the 2025 socio-economic report released by the Da Nang People’s Committee, the number of guests served by local accommodation establishments is estimated to have reached over 17.3 million, a 15% year-on-year increase. Of which, over 7.6 million have been international guests, whilst the remaining nearly 9.7 million have been domestic visitors.
Revenue from accommodation, food, and travel services is likely to have generated at around VND 60 trillion, reflecting a 21% year-on-year growth.
This year, the local tourism sector has also gained numerous outstanding achievements. In particular, at the Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025, 14 tourism businesses in the city were honored in various key categories, demonstrating the comprehensive growth of the city’s tourism ecosystem.
During the year, Da Nang has expanded its promotional efforts to diversify markets, especially high-spending, long-stay tourists from key markets. Notably, the city has successfully restored and launched direct flights to destinations such as China, Nagoya (Japan), New Delhi and Mumbai (India), and Sydney (Australia).

Located in Hoi An Dong Ward, Da Nang, the Cam Thanh Village was named one of the 50 most beautiful villages in the world in 2025 by Forbes.
Double-digit growth target
Da Nang’s tourism sector has recently set an ambitious goal of double-digit economic growth in 2026.
Specifically, local accommodation establishments target to serve 19.1 million guests, up 10.5% against 2025. International visitors are expected to reach 8.7 million, a 13.7% rise , while domestic tourists are projected to reach 10.4 million, a growth of 8%. Revenue from accommodation, food and travel services is predicted to stand at VND 70 trillion, an increase of over 15%.
Moreover, Da Nang and Hoi An aim to be among the top searched destinations for tourism in Asia, Southeast Asia, and Vietnam.
To achieve these goals, in addition to maintaining current policies, the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center plans to implement a series of new promotional policies in 2026. Included will be policies targeting KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) and KOCs (Key Opinion Consumers), and educational tourism.
Also, strategies to attract major tour operators to Da Nang, reinforce cooperation with OTAs (Online Travel Agencies) in each market, and enhance MICE tourism will be launched.
Additionally, efforts will be made to work with airlines to maintain existing routes and open new routes from the US and Australia to Da Nang.
Furthermore, Da Nang will focus on partnerships with cruise lines and rail companies to promote sea and rail tourism. Notably, the city aims to open one or two new international flight routes to Chu Lai Airport in the coming year, aiming to establish an additional air “gateway” to welcome visitors to the city.
