The Danang Smart City app, with 1.8 million downloads and about 30,000 users accessing 90 utilities, has been honored at the Vietnam Digital Awards 2025.

At the Vietnam Digital Awards 2025 ceremony held in Ha Noi on Wednesday evening, the Da Nang Intelligent Operation Centre (IOC) was honored in the category “Digital transformation Solution for the Community” with its Danang Smart City app.
The prestigious award aims to honor technological initiatives and products that have made practical contributions to the national digital transformation process, as well as to respond to the National Digital Transformation Day on October 10.
The Danang Smart City app is a multi-functional mobile platform that connects residents, tourists and authorities on the shared digital ecosystem.
Featuring more than 90 utilities across diverse sectors, it provides practical tools for users from the Danang AI Chatbot that assists with administrative procedures to real-time flood and rainfall alerts.

In addition, the app offers a series of digital services such as land price lookup, feedback, registration and tracking of medical, educational and cultural – tourism services, bus information, and online payment for electricity, water and environmental fees.
Users can log in via VNeID and synchronize data with the national population database, ensuring accuracy and safety.
To date, Da Nang has more than 259,000 digital citizen accounts and many open data utilities serving research and production. The app has reached more than 1.8 million downloads, with around 30,000 users each month.
Notably, the system has received nearly 66,000 feedbacks and suggestions from residents. Of which, 94% have been resolved promptly, demonstrating a high level of engagement between citizens and local authorities.

During the rainy season, the app’s IoT-based rainfall and flooding monitoring system and flood map features become useful tools to help residents proactively respond to adverse weather while supporting the government in implementing timely measures.
Being honored at the Vietnam Digital Awards 2025 marks a significant milestone, reaffirming Da Nang’s pioneering position in building a smart city and digital government.
Also at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Ngoc Thach, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Science and Technology was honored in the category “Outstanding individuals”.
