Feasibility study report on Da Nang data centre expansion project approved

Da Nang government has approved the feasibility study report on the city’s Data Centre upgrade and expansion within the framework of the ongoing smart city building project. The Da Nang data center will be upgraded at a cost of nearly 68 billion VND from the city budget Expected to cost nearly 68 billion VND from the city budget, the project aims to ensure modern infrastructure to initially form smart platform and databases, smartise the applications formed and piloted in the previous stages in order to better serve the general public, and make a shift from traditional urban management method to digital one. Under the Centre’s upgrade project, a focus will be on developing auxiliary infrastructure facilities and Rack cabinets, installing cable transmission systems, renovating NOC rooms, and purchasing information technology equipment, and building up cloud computing applications. The project will be developed by the municipal Department of Information and Communications, whilst the city’s Management Board of Industrial and Civil Engineering Construction and Investment Projects will be in charge of managing the upgrade.
