ICT investment promotion forum to be held late this month

The Authority of Da Nang’s Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Parks (IPs) said on November 3 that it will host an information and communication technology (ICT) investment promotion forum late this month. The purpose of the upcoming event is to create closer links between South Korean and Da Nang ICT enterprises, as well as to advertise the potential and advantages of Da Nang in general, and introduce investment opportunities and preferential policies in the city’s Hi-Tech Park and Dedicated IT Park to foreign investors in particular. Previously, the Authority had met with Mr. Kim Ountae, General Director of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) in Da Nang in late October. Both sides discussed investment potential at the city’s Hi-Tech Park and their cooperative programmes in the coming time. According to the Authority, over the past times, a number of investors from South Korea have been showing their keen interest in investing into Da Nang. Most notably, the US$ 60 million Dentium ICT Vina medical equipment factory, which was put into operation in the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park in 2020, is one of the most typical South Korean-developed projects in the Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions. Besides, LG Group is accelerating the development of its Information Technology Research and Development Center in the city.
