Nearly VND34 billion for supporting national innovation startup ecosystem over 2022-2025 period

Da Nang authorities have decided to provide VND33.89 billion in funding to carry out a project on supporting the national innovation startup ecosystem during the 2022-2025 period in the city. Under the project, at least 10 innovative startup businesses and startup projects will receive financial support from the city budget to bring their startup ideas to fruition each year. Also, financial aid will be given out to assist educational institutions, incubators and business promotion organizations to deploy at least 2 startup training programmes every year. By 2025, the city will have a combined total of 200 innovative start-up projects, and 100 innovative start-up enterprises with commercialized products. Also, a network of startup experts with at least 200 members will be established. Moreover, during the 2022-2025 period, top priority will be paid to boosting communication about innovative startups, organizing innovative startup events, enhancing the capacity for innovative start-up businesses, ensuring material and technical foundations for innovative startups, connecting startup networks, providing support services for innovative startups, conducting research and proposing mechanisms and support policies for innovative startups, and other general activities.
