Vietnamese language courses for foreigners launched in Da Nang

The University of Education and Science – the University of Da Nang held an opening ceremony on Wednesday for its preparatory Vietnamese language training course and Vietnamese communication course for foreign learners. Accordingly, the preparatory Vietnamese language course enrolls 40 international students, 39 of whom are from Laos and the remainder from Bulgaria. Among them, 21 Lao students are recipients of scholarships funded by the Da Nang government whilst 9 others receive full scholarships from the University of Education and Science. The preparatory Vietnamese language training program at the University of Education and Science is systematically designed. It features Vietnamese communication courses from elementary to intermediate levels, Vietnamese language for specific purposes, and subjects on Vietnamese history, geography, economy and culture. In addition to regular classes, students have the opportunity to participate in practical activities, final projects and cultural classes on Vietnamese cuisine and traditional performing arts. These experiences help students significantly improve their language skills and deepen their understanding of local culture. This not only helps international students get acquainted with the language but is also a journey to explore Vietnamese culture, laying the foundation for their future university and postgraduate years in Vietnam. Also on the same day, the university opened a Vietnamese communication course for foreigners, attracting 15 learners from 11 countries such as the United States, South Korea, China, Switzerland, Finland, Germany and Turkey. This is the fourth training course organized by the university in 2025.
